Children of Bodom fans, your patience will soon be paid off. The band has checked in with a video update, offering word on the progress of its next studio album.

"We've been recording for the last two months and we're finally almost done," says frontman Alexi Laiho in the clip above. "We're doing the gang shouts right now. And I think the album is going to be kick f---ing ass."

Keyboardist Janne Wirman reveals that only the gang shouts and mixing remain and then the band will start the promotional lead up to their next album. Though an official album title and street date has yet to be named, it's expected that the disc will drop at some point this fall.

In other news, Laiho is getting closer to revealing the guitarists who will join him at Senate Square in Helsinki for his "100 Guitars From Hell" performance. As the title suggests, Laiho intends to perform a new track with 100 guitarists at this year's Helsinki Festival. Laiho initially played a riff at the opening of the promotion and invited fans who wanted to participate to learn the riff, use it to audition and the winners would join him at the festival.
