Get ready for a slugfest! Two death metal luminaries are squaring off in the first round of the Greatest Metal Frontman tournament in this matchup of George 'Corpsegrinder' Fisher and Frank Mullen.

Corpsegrinder replaced Chris Barnes in Cannibal Corpse and brought some much needed vocal strength by the time Barnes was terminated. His gutturals are incredibly low and he never cups the microphone when delivering them. His rapid-delivery is on pace with the speed of his windmill headbanging, which he always tells the crowd, “You can try to keep up with me and you will fail!”

Suffocation’s Frank Mullen pioneered the ultra brutal style of death metal vocals while the rest of the band simultaneously innovated the brutal and technical death metal style. He is a lunatic onstage with his comedic stage banter and the infamous hand chop during blast beats.

Corpsegrinder or Frank Mullen? Cast your vote for the Greatest Metal Frontman in the poll below! Voting for this round closes on Sunday, Nov. 3 at 11:59PM ET. Fans can vote once per hour, so keep coming back to make sure that your favorite metal musician wins!
