Pioneers of the second wave of black metal Dark Funeral have released some disappointing news today (Jan. 17). The Swedish blasphemers have had to postpone their North American tour due to reasons beyond their control.

Dark Funeral have built a legendary career within the European cauldron of black metal. Revolving heavily amongst blasphemous and Satanic themes, Dark Funeral have been primarily led by guitarist Lord Ahriman. As the driving force of the band and only remaining original member, Ahriman has aligned himself with the philosophy of LaVeyan Satanism while raising a family and bringing Dark Funeral into their 19th year as a band.

Dark Funeral posted the official news of the tour postponement on their official Facebook page earlier this morning:

Dear Fans, friends and supporters of Dark Funeral,

It is with great regret that we have to inform you today that our North American Tour has to be postponed. Due to circumstances and events way beyond our control, there is no other way but to postpone these dates. And yes, our triumphant return to the United States Of America is definitely not cancelled, but postponed. And we will try to announce the new North American tour dates as soon as possible, so you better stay tuned!

However, our appearance at the 70.000 Tons Of Metal-Cruise will take place as planned. Hope to see some of you there.

Tickets are now being refunded for the affected dates here.
