Update from Dark Funeral:

We always travel with 3 Samsonite suitcases including our stagewear. Only two of them were stolen when we had a break-in to our car in San Fransisco (Lombard/Fransisco area). It shows that the suitcase we still have in our belongings includes all Lord Ahriman & Chaq Mol's gear except for their leather pants & boots (which are easy to replace). That means we still missing the stagewear for Heljagmadr, Adra Melek & Jalomaah! if you hear or see anything please let us know.

A thief smashed the rear window of what is presumably guitarist Lord Ahriman's car and stole bags containing Dark Funeral's elaborate black metal armor stage clothes.

The incident occurred following the conclusion of Dark Funeral's North American tour with Belphegor, Incantation, Hate, Vale of Pnath and Nightmarer, and Lord Ahriman documented the damage in the Instagram post seen below.

"There are few things worse than thieves! We just discovered that 2 if [sic] our bags containing our stage outfits were stolen from a car in San Francisco. Window smashed and bags gone," the guitarist chronicled.

"Who would steal 30 bag lunches?" asked Veronica Vaughn in Billy Madison and there's a similar sense of bewilderment here. Typically, when a band's equipment is stolen, it's something of high value and demand that can be flipped quickly at a pawn shop or the black market. Black metal armor is a bit more niche and less desirable (at least to commoners) than a flashy guitar or amp head.

Lord Ahriman acknowledged this lack of outside value to the stolen items, writing, "As you know these things are of little use or value for anyone but for us they are unvaluable [sic]! If you see or hear anything, please let us know!"

Photos of the band's stage wear can be seen beneath the Instagram post.
