Welcome to Part 2 of Megadeth legend Dave Mustaine’s episode of ‘Wikipedia: Fact or Fiction?’.

In this edition of our signature game, Dave Mustaine proves what’s true and false about what’s written about him on Wikipedia.

We start off Part 2 with a story on how Mustaine came up with the inspiration of Megadeth’s opus “Holy Wars… The Punishment Due.” Though its true the song was derived from a show gone wrong in Ireland, there’s a bit of fiction Dave was able to clear up. He even told us about drunkenly urinating into bassist David Ellefson’s suitcase.

Wikipedia had plenty of contradictions about why Mustaine fired guitarist Chris Poland and drummer Gar Samuelson. Stories of the musicians pawning band equipment for drug money were written all over the site, but we got the real story from Mustaine himself in the clip above.

Finally, we end the segment with a question about Dystopia. Wikipedia claimed Mustaine was inspired with a sense of urgency to create a new record after the death of Slayer guitarist Jeff Hanneman, having been hit with realities of his own mortality. Is it true? Find out right here!
