Iconic guitarist Eddie Van Halen has released a new sneaker, the 1978 High Top. This black and white shoe is a commemoration of Van Halen's career, as their debut album Van Halen was released just over 40 years ago. Loudwire got an exclusive look at the sneakers, so check them out in the unboxing video above.

This shoe is the newest edition to the EVH™ collection. It features a sleek black and white design, a live photo of Van Halen playing guitar on stage on the outer side, the EVH logo on the tongue, the 1978 logo on the inner side and a panel of his signature Frankenstein pattern on the back.

Van Halen was the band's 1978 introduction to the world, featuring songs like "Runnin' With the Devil," Eddie's famous solo "Eruption," a cover of The Kinks' "You Really Got Me" and more. The album launched a wildly successful career for the group and has since been certified diamond by the RIAA.
