Foo Fighters Leave Los Angeles’ Forum Thoroughly Rocked [Exclusive Photos]

Foo Fighters continued to wow audiences with another stellar show, this one rocking Los Angeles-area fans at the Fabulous Forum of Inglewood, Calif.

The band was on fire Tuesday night (Sept. 22), and if anything, Dave Grohl's physical setback, famously breaking his leg after falling off a stage in Sweden, has only added another dimension to their live show. Grohl rocked harder sitting down than most musicians do standing, throwing himself around in his custom-made throne with feral abandon.

Tuesday night's set featured a surprise appearance by Perry Farrell, who performed the Jane's Addiction classics "Had a Dad," and "Been Caught Stealing" with the Foos. Perry's charisma and presence were out in full force, but it was the quieter moments, when Perry sat at Dave's feet on his throne, that carried the most power as the two shared a humorous rapport.

The show also featured another Jane's Addiction member, bassist Chris Chaney, who used to play with Taylor Hawkins in Alanis Morrissette's band. He dropped in to play bass on the Hawkins-led song "Cold Day in the Sun."

Another show highlight was the tour premiere of "What Did I Do?/God as My Witness," with show opener Gary Clark Jr. adding some blistering licks. The track, which features Clark, appears on the band's Sonic Highways album.

In an emotional moment, Grohl dedicated "Big Me" to a young girl in the audience with a broken leg, who was waiting at the barricade to get her cast signed.  She sat on her parents' shoulders through the entire song, and yes, Grohl brought her up at the end of the show and signed her cast. She wasn't the only youth celebrated, as Foo guitarist Chris Shiflett's son Liam turned 12. The guitarist brought his son out onstage so the entire audience could sing "Happy Birthday" to him.

Gary Clark Jr. opened the night with a bluesy set featuring killer guitar work while supporting his brand new album, The Story of Sonny Boy Slim. Check out our photos from the show in the gallery above.
