Former Iron Maiden Singer Blaze Bayley Plots 2017 North American Tour
Former Iron Maiden singer Blaze Bayley has developed a dedicated following since his split with the British metal legends. Earlier this year, he released Endure and Survive (Infinite Entanglement Part II) under his own imprint and will support the album with a month-long tour across the U.S. and Canada.
The jaunt is set to begin on Aug. 9 in Pennsylvania with a stop at the Brooklyn underground hotspot Saint Vitus the next night. After wrapping up a couple New York dates, Blaze will venture north into Canada for five stops before descending back down to the U.S., hitting the Midwest with five shows in Texas alone. The run will finish off in Seattle on Sept. 9 and a full list of stops can be seen below.
“I'm so excited about coming to the U.S.A. and Canada for the Endure and Survive part of my Infinite Entanglement tour,” comments Bayley. “I have great memories of touring there with Wolfsbane and Iron Maiden. I'll be doing a few songs from those days and some songs from my new albums. As a thank you to my fans for waiting so long for this tour, I will be doing a free meet and greet after every show, signing any CDs and albums that I'm featured on. I'm fitting in as many towns and cities as I can on this tour and I'm hoping it will be possible to tour the U.S.A. and Canada every year if fans want me to return.”
Bayley is best known for his six-year, two-album stint fronting Iron Maiden after being selected as Bruce Dickinson's replacement. Prior to joining Iron Maiden, his band Wolfsbane opened for the icons. The group has been reunited since 2010, releasing their comeback, Wolfsbane Save the World, in 2012.
