Gene Simmons is out promoting his new book 'Me, Inc: Build an Army of One, Unleash Your Inner Rock God, Win In Life and Business' and the Kiss icon is once again ruffling feathers. Simmons is no stranger to controversy and is sure to upset some with what is written in his book and what he is saying while our promoting it.

Gene recently did an interview with the Naperville Sun, and while giving tips on how to stay ahead in life, he took a stab at his former Kiss bandmates. “You learn drugs and alcohol don’t mix. Ace [Frehley] and Peter [Criss], who were drug addicts are by today’s standards poor.” Simmons continued, ”I’ve never been high or drunk in my life, and Paul [Stanley], I don’t think has either. We are winners. You cannot run a race when you’re high. You won’t win.”

The Kiss bassist and singer also recently appeared Fox News’ Trending with Andrea Tantaros on Friday. Watch the clip in the player above. In the interview, he stressed that women should stop depending on men both emotionally and financially. “Women: Stop depending on men. It’s as simple as that. Imagine there are no men in life," Simmons said. "Find out that thing that you’re good for that makes the money and then get married and or have children from a position of strength."

He added that women should prepare for the worst and assume the man won’t be there. Simmons said, “Why not devote your time, those early years to making your fortune. Get a career. You can’t have it both ways. A career is time consuming it is all encompassing and you will continue to fail over and over again before you succeed.”

Gene also admitted that he regrets not marrying his longtime partner Shannon Tweed sooner. “It is a massive failing for me that I didn't recognize the purity and sanctity of love. Why I didn't marry Shannon when I first met her and dropped head over heels with her is the stupidity and arrogance and selfishness of man."

Gene Simmons’ 'Me, Inc: Build an Army of One, Unleash Your Inner Rock God, Win In Life and Business' is out now. You can order it here.
