Emo rockers the Get Up Kids have announced a slew of tour dates in the United States for this November and December, with support from both Kevin Devine and the Whiffs on the November stretch.

It's the latest string of shows from the Kansas City crew in support of sixth album Problems, released in May, their first full-length effort in eight years. Supporting acts for the December portion of the upcoming tour have yet to be announced. Get tickets here. See the tour dates toward the bottom of this post.

Problems is only the group's second studio album since their 2008 reformation, following 2011's There Are Rules as well as 2010 comeback EP Simple Science. The band initially broke up in 2005.

But with early albums like Four Minute Mile and Something to Write Home About, the Get Up Kids were main progenitors of Midwestern emo in the late '90s as the subgenre rolled from its sulky second wave — spawned by D.C.-indebted earnestness — into the early-to-mid 2000s' age of black-clad grandstanding.
