It’s not every day that you get to see the force of Godsmack in a small room. In celebration of their brand-new album, ‘1000hp,’ the Massachusetts band played an intimate show at the iHeartRadio Theater in New York City.

The night began with a short interview as the iHeartRadio host spoke to frontman Sully Erna about the group’s hiatus and their new music. Fans were eager for new music and got a taste of brand new songs ‘Generation Day,’ the lead single ‘1000hp’ and the notably very heavy track ‘Locked & Loaded’ to start off the set.

The band shook things up by slipping in a couple favorites ‘Keep Away’ and ‘Cryin’ Like a B-tch‘ in between the fresh material. Other new tracks performed included ‘What’s Next’ and ‘Something Different,’ one of Erna’s favorite tunes on the new disc.

The crowd was ecstatic when Erna and company rocked hits like ‘Straight Outta Line’ and ‘Awake’ to close out the night. From the early reaction to ‘1000hp,’ it shouldn't take long for longtime Godsmack followers to latch onto the album, and, in fact, it could help spawn a whole new generation of fans.
