Swedish band In Flames delighted an intimate gathering of press and fans at a listening party for their forthcoming album ‘Siren Charms’ at the Bowery Electric in New York City.

The event was a get-together of sorts, as frontman Anders Friden and guitarists Bjorn Gelotte and Niclas Engelin walked around and spoke to those in attendance. The background music was ‘Siren Charms’ from beginning to end on loop which is a treat in itself. Did we mention there was also an open bar?

To round out the night, the members of In Flames took the tiny stage at the Bowery Electric and performed acoustically for the first time ever, with Friden belting out new tracks ‘Dead Eyes’ and ‘Through Oblivion.’

In Flames are an incredible live band when plugged in and we're excited to see them on tour with Opeth in the States later this year, but seeing and hearing In Flames acoustically was refreshing and vibrant in a unique way. We hope this is just one of many special acoustic performances from In Flames.

‘Siren Charms' drops on Sept. 9, and is available at iTunes. Be sure to listen to our exclusive stream of the full album below.
