Insane Clown Posse Dish Out Unique Spin on Christina Aguilera’s ‘Beautiful’
We know you're anxious for the weekend to start and instead of idly watching the hands of the clock slowly tick by to release you for a couple days, we've got something better you can pass the time with. That's right, it's time for a little Friday fun with Insane Clown Posse's unique take on the Christina Aguilera hit "Beautiful."
The original version of the track features a beautiful piano and string arrangement, setting the foundation for the pop idol to whimsically take listeners away with her jaw-dropping vocal range and self-empowering words.
Here, ICP entertain a similar atmosphere with a simple drum beat and gentle piano melody as Violent J adapts the lyrics to better fit the group's style. The opening lines were altered to, "Every day ain't so wonderful / They f--ked with me / It's hard to breathe / Deep inside I get insecure / From all the pain / S--t's so lame."
Rather than playing on the theme of the song's original title, the painted clown duo ride the notion of being "Indestructible." When Shaggy 2 Dope enters the song around the halfway mark, he goes into a rap segment, which, expectedly, is the furthest deviation from Aguilera's original version. Though the song was recorded and initially surfaced a few years ago, the duo are just now putting out a video for the song.
This year's Gathering of the Juggalos will be held in Denver, Colo.
