Need a pick-me-up? Islander are here to help you have a better day, and they've also got a brand new video to premiere right here at Loudwire.

The video for "Better Day," directed by Nathan Mowery, centers on two main storylines. One focuses on a waitress who suffers numerous indignities from her boss, co-workers and customers, while the other storyline centers on an aspiring wrestler who is continually looked down upon. But as the song suggests, there is a better day, and we get to see the tide turn for both of our central characters.

When asked about the song’s meaning, frontman Mikey Carvajal admits, "It's simple, really. The world is hurting, so we wrote an anthem for those that are hurting. ‘Better Day’ is a song of hope."

"Better Day" is featured on the band's most recent release, Power Under Control. The disc is currently available via Amazon, iTunes and other digital outlets. And if you’re hoping to catch Islander live, the band's "Lifelines" tour kicked off this past weekend, featuring I Prevail, Wage War, and Assuming We Survive. The tour circles North America before concluding March 8 in Seattle. Islander will continue touring through the summer with a major announcement to be revealed soon. In the interim, check out their scheduled dates below.
