James Hetfield vs. Lemmy Kilmister – President of Heavy Metal Election, Quarterfinals

First up in the quarterfinal round of the President of Heavy Metal election is Metallica frontman James Hetfield vs. Motorhead metal god Lemmy Kilmister. Hetfield captured victory over Ministry's Al Jourgensen in Round 1, knocking the industrial legend off the map. With perhaps the most rabid following of any metal band, James Hetfield has the support to win it all, but will his followers show up at the polls?

Lemmy Kilmister defeated Anthrax's Scott Ian in Round 1, with even Ian himself lending his support to the Motorhead legend via Twitter. Thus, Kilmister came out victorious and now faces another 'Big 4' icon. We're not sure what Lemmy's agenda is yet, but he does promise to drink more whisky than any other musician whether he's elected or not.
