Jane's Addiction have added new dates to 'The Theatre of the Escapists' tour, which has them performing at intimate venues across the United States.

Jane's Addiction's 'The Theatre of the Escapist' trek has the band bringing a prohibition era-themed stage show -- a la the music video for 'Underground' -- to historic theatres that have a much lower capacity than the arenas the band usually occupies. They've been performing songs from the new album 'The Great Escape Artist' in addition to deep cuts like 'Classic Girl' and 'I Would for You' that haven't been played live in 20 years.

The band has just extended the limited run by adding an entire second leg to the tour, which will be preceded by two arena dates south of the border.

Despite not having the quickest new album cycle -- 'The Great Escape Artist' is the band's fourth album and first since 2003's 'Strays' -- things are looking up for fans of Jane's in the future. "We are talking about music," drummer Stephen Perkins revealed in a recent interview -- which is a good sign it may not be as long a wait for the band's next record.
