It's been a while since we've had a good "beef" in rock and metal, but Kid Rock appears to be in one that's already cost him a gig. On Friday (Nov. 30), Rock appeared on FOX News' Fox and Friends program as host Steve Doocy did a remote from Rock's Big Ass Honky Tonk Rock N' Roll Steakhouse in Nashville. During the segment, Rock couldn't help but take a dig at The View co-host Joy Behar, one that appears to have now cost him financially as he was removed as the Grand Marshal of Nashville's Christmas Parade.

In the middle of the interview, Rock was speaking about the divisive state of America. While pleading for peace and common ground, he stated, “I would say, love everybody. . . except screw that Joy Behar bitch," a comment that took Doocy by surprise. The host apologized on air for the language and asked Rock if he'd like to do the same, “I apologize for the language, not the sentiment,” said the musician. When Doocy stated that Behar just had a different viewpoint than he did, Rock, who said he was joking, stated, "Maybe we'll go on and talk about it and just hash it out," and added that they should have a beer. See the clip below.

Behar offered her response on The View with her co-hosts backing her up. "All I can say is this bitch and these bitches would be happy to have you on the show and have a beer," Behar shot back, while her cohorts also had their say.

Later addressing the comments and why he targeted Behar, Rock stated, "Behar has been an outspoken critic of President Donald Trump and when Myself, Sarah Palin and Ted Nugent visited the White House last year, Behar called it 'the saddest day in in the history of the White House since the British burned it to the ground in 1814.' Today I said 'Screw that Joy Behar bitch.' Mess with the bull, you get the horns. End of story. I apologized for cursing on live TV, I will not for my sentiment nor do I expect an apology from her or anyone else who has choice words for me or doesn’t like me. God Bless America."

After Nashville city councilman Freddie O'Connell and Mayor David Briley expressed that they would sit out the city's Christmas Parade with Rock still attached, organizers decided to make a last minute switch on Saturday (Dec. 1), calling on James Shaw Jr. to be the grand marshal instead. Shaw, you might remember, was the Nashville hero who put an end to the Nashville Waffle House shooting back in April. Rock was not spotted at the parade Saturday morning.
