In a category filled with incredibly strong and progressive competition, Lamb of God ran away with the votes for Metal Album of the Year in the 2012 Loudwire Music Awards. The band's 2012 full-length, 'Resolution,' earned the victory, beating out Gojira's 'L'Enfant Sauvage' and Down's 'Purple EP' by a healthy margin.
