It's almost been one year since shock rock industrialist Marilyn Manson revealed his intensions to release the follow-up to The Pale Emperor. While the forthcoming record has yet to receive an official release date, fans can ease their anticipation as Manson has just announced a fall 2017 North American tour, hopefully indicating that the new record will arrive soon.

Marilyn Manson will spend the month leading up to Halloween on the road, starting things off in Maryland on Sept. 27. He'll venture into the Northeast before extending the trek further North, hitting just one Canadian stop in Toronto before working his way back down and through the Midwest, hitting major cities like Columbus, Ohio and Chicago along the way. The run will conclude with back-to-back performances at the House of Blues in the desert of Las Vegas.

Originally, Manson had declared his forthcoming record would be titled Say10 with a Valentine's Day release in 2017, but the lovers' holiday came and went and mum was the word from the rocker's camp. Before scrapping the title in favor of Heaven Upside Down, the frontman clued fans in on what they can expect from this next slab of music, describing, “It is, I would say, the last thing people would expect after hearing the previous album, The Pale Emperor. And it’s also, coming from the people who I’ve played it to, a combination of Antichrist Superstar and Mechanical Animals in feeling.”

While the release of a new album is certainly exciting for both Manson and his fans, this year also marks a rough point for the singer as his father passed away on July 7. He penned a heartfelt tribute, which stated, “Today I lost my father, Hugh Warner. He taught me how to be a man, a fighter and a survivor. He taught me how to shoot a gun. How to drive. How to lead. He will always be the best dad in the world. Somehow and somewhere, I know he is with my mom now. I will keep my promise and never let you down. I miss and love you dad.”
