Max Cavalera – Awesome Rock Dads

Soulfly’s Max Cavalera admits that he was a little surprised when his son Richie showed interest in pursuing a career in music but it ended up working to his advantage. Cavalera recruited the collective talents of his three sons to contribute to a handful of songs on Soulfly’s latest disc ‘Enslaved.’

The musical collaborations with his sons didn’t stop there though. Richie’s band Incite and his sons Igor and Zyon’s band Lody Kong spent some time out on the road opening for Soulfly.

Cavalera has been nothing but supportive of his sons' passions. “I feel very happy that they are going in this direction, so that’s why I tried to make the song with them in the studio,” said Cavalera. “I knew that they had the ability to play and take it to a professional level.”
