Roaming wildlife can be a beautiful thing to observe... unless there's a bison obstructing the highway. Fortunately, Montana police officers had the perfect solution, which was to blast AC/DC's "Hells Bells," coaxing it to move along.

We're not trying to challenge the authorities here, but with all due respect, officers, why on Earth didn't you try playing "Highway to Hell" instead? Maybe they don't need reason (don't need rhyme either).

The Gallatin County Sheriff's Office shared a picture of the road-blocking bison on Facebook, stating, "Being a deputy around West Yellowstone comes with unusual duties, including herding bison off the highway so no one gets hurt. When deputies respond to a bison on the road, they turn on lights and siren and encourage the animal to leave the road with an air horn. With a reluctant bison, they’ve been known to play AC/DC’s 'Hell’s Bells' over the speakers – that usually seems to work."

This isn't the first time this summer that rock and metal music has been used to shoo animals away. In late July, a Vancouver woman found herself threatened by a nearby cougar and when her voice wasn't scary enough to drive it away, she turned to her phone and played Metallica's "Don't Tread on Me." The story went viral, even catching the attention of James Hetfield, who later gave the woman a personal phone call.
