As rumors persist regarding a Motley Crue reunion, a Change.org petition has surfaced, rallying signatures for the group's return. Their hair metal legends took note of this, addressing the petition on social media.

The petition, which was created by a user named "Motley Mann," urges Motley Crue to reform and tour once again to perform for the new crop of fans they gained following the release of their hit biopic, The Dirt, which premiered on Netflix in March earlier this year. Accompanying the flick was a soundtrack that contained three brand new songs and a newly-recorded cover of Madonna's "Like a Virgin."

Motley Mann insists that Crue have a responsibility to play for this new generation of fans, who have a "natural born right" to see the group. "This is interesting...," commented Motley Crue in response.

It is worth noting that the band signed a cessation of touring agreement prior to embarking on their farewell tour, which would prevent them from ever touring under the Motley Crue name again. The members of Motley Crue were adamant that their farewell tour would indeed be their last-ever tour.

Motley Crue's last performance came on New Year's Eve in 2015 at a concert dubbed "Crue Year's Eve." If they do reform in 2020, they'll join a growing list of major rock reunions coming at the start of the new decade, which currently includes Rage Against the Machine, My Chemical Romance and The Black Crowes.
