New AC/DC Song ‘Play Ball’ Featured in TBS Postseason Baseball Trailer
Are you ready for AC/DC's 'Rock or Bust' album? The first taste of new music from the disc has just surfaced as part of a postseason promotional trailer for TBS' American League baseball playoff coverage.
[Update: We've replaced the 30-second trailer with a 1-minute version that surfaced later. Listen above.]
The song that plays over the trailer is aptly called 'Play Ball' and it appears on the band's upcoming 'Rock or Bust' disc. There's little doubt that it's AC/DC as Brian Johnson's very signature vocals blast through over the variety of baseball highlights. The video concludes with a bluesy AC/DC guitar lick, as well.
For the baseball fans out there, Detroit Tigers pitcher Max Scherzer, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim outfielder Mike Trout and Seattle Mariners pitcher "King" Felix Hernandez are among those featured in the promo. The trailer is expected to premiere on TBS on Sept. 27, though Bleacher Report has posted the preview online.
AC/DC's 'Rock or Bust' is due Dec. 2. As recently reported, Malcolm Young's nephew Stevie Young has stepped in for the ailing rocker on guitar. It was recently revealed that Malcolm, who stepped away from the band earlier this year, will not be returning to the band in any capacity.
