Earlier this week, we introduced you to Squiggy, Loudwire's Gear Editor and host of our ongoing series, "Gear Factor." The man wasted no time in getting to work.

Yesterday at the 2018 NAMM Show --  NAMM is the National Association of Music Merchants -- he met up with guitarist Nita Strauss of Alice Cooper's band to talk about her new signature Ibanez guitar. The instrument marks a milestone, not just for her, but for the company.

"I'm the first signature artist in the company's history," she told Squiggy. In other words, she's the first female guitarist to get her own signature guitar. "I'm beyond honored. I'm beyond blown away."

Other female artists have signature guitars with other companies: Gibson Guitars has issued signature guitars with Halestorm's Lzzy Hale (the Lzzy Hale Explorer) and Heart's Nancy Wilson (the Nancy Wilson Nighthawk Standard) Annie Clark designed an Ernie Ball Music Man electric guitar, and Orianthi, who preceded Strauss in Alice Cooper's band, has a PRS guitar.

Watch Strauss give Squiggy a tour of the guitar in the video above.
