In the wake of Danny Worsnop’s departure from Asking Alexandria, Protest the Hero singer Rody Walker has released a hilarious video of himself "auditioning" for the band.

In the video titled, ‘Asking Alexandria for a Chance,’ Rody Walker proclaims his love for the British metalcore band. Walker claims that he is 28 years of age, has a “little bit of an alcoholic dependency,” is a “say-at-home boyfriend” and offers to do all the cooking and cleaning for the band, if they allow him to join. Walker then admits he’s never actually heard any of Asking Alexandria's songs, so for his audition, the singer wrote an original piece. The track, which is all about auditioning for AA, plays while Walker shows off his superb cleaning skills.

On a serious note, Alternative Press is theorizing that Denis Shaforostov, former frontman of Ukrainian band Make Me Famous, could be the next singer of Asking Alexandria. If this is true, it looks like Rody Walker will have to keep his spot with Protest the Hero... for now.

Danny Worsnop announced his leave from Asking Alexandria in the following statement:

To all of my friends and fans: I would like to let you know that Asking Alexandria and I are moving forward in separate ways. Over the last eight years together we’ve done some amazing things and created something truly special. I now, same as then, want what’s best for the band and at this point in time, that isn’t me. Asking Alexandria will continue to tour throughout the year and will be working on a new album. I will always support and love Asking Alexandria and cannot wait to see what the future holds for them. I am excited for the next chapter of my life with We Are Harlot and will see you all on the road!

Meanwhile, Protest the Hero will next perform in Hamilton, Ontario on Feb. 7. The Canadian rockers will then head to South Africa for a few dates in April. For their complete tour dates click here.
