Queens of the Stone Age’s Josh Homme Hits the Pit During Distillers L.A. Show
Rock stars ... they're just like us. Let us not forget that what attracted musicians to their chosen career is the same thing that pulls us in as listeners. That was the case during a recent Distillers performance in Los Angeles when Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme decided to jump in and join the masses in a circle pit.
Homme, who is the husband of Distillers vocalist Brody Dalle, was spotted by Instagram user C. Greenwolf, making the rounds with the rest of the pit goers during the performance of "City of Angels," as seen in the footage below.
The Distillers had performed at the Hollywood Palladium, a show that Dalle had called "magical" and "beyond our wildest dreams" in a posting after the performance. The Los Angeles date included a mix of older favorites from the reunited rockers as well as their newly released track, "Man Vs. Magnet." Both "Man vs. Magnet" and the newly issued "Blood in Gutters" can be found here. The band will wrap their current tour leg Sept. 20 at the Brooklyn Bowl in Las Vegas.
Queens of the Stone Age, meanwhile, recently wrapped touring in support of their Villains album, having played 129 shows in front of 1.7 million people. The group also issued a hauntingly reimagined stripped back version of "The Way You Used to Do" that can be viewed here.
