A Seattle teenager just shared some never-before-seen Nirvana history with the world. 19-year-old Maggie Poukkula's father, Tony Poukkula, actually hosted Nirvana's first gig in his basement in March 1987, and Maggie tweeted out some historic photos of that very day.

If you've read any Nirvana biography, you surely remember the house party show. The kids didn't really get Nirvana, but what can you expect when a group of average youths hear "Mexican Seafood" or "Hairspray Queen" back in the 80s? Nirvana also performed two Led Zeppelin covers, "Heartbreaker" and "How Many More Times" that night, with Tony Poukkula of Seattle band Laytem stepping in to jam with Kurt Cobain, Krist Novoselic and drummer Aaron Burckhard for the Zeppelin cuts.

See Maggie's Tweet containing three pics of Nirvana's first gig below:

"I had no idea that those were during Nirvana's first concert," Poukkula tells Rolling Stone. "My dad showed me them a while back, but he never mentioned that's what was going on in the photos. I found out because of all the articles. I didn't realize it was such a historical thing. I thought they were just cool pictures of my dad and Kurt jamming together."

The Emmy-nominated documentary Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck is currently set to return to movie theaters after a successful run on HBO and limited cinemas. The film is scheduled to hit the big screen once again on Aug. 7.
