Slash’s second solo album will include the new songs ‘Halo,’ ‘Standing in the Sun’ and ‘Bad Rain.’ He previewed the rough demos of the tracks in private for TV and radio host Eddie Trunk.

The follow-up to his 2010 debut will be produced by Eric Valentine and feature vocals by Alter Bridge’s Myles Kennedy, who toured with Slash for the past year. Kennedy previously turned down an offer to audition for Slash’s band Velvet Revolver, and shortly thereafter joined Alter Bridge with Creed members Mark Tremonti (lead guitar), Brian Marshall (bass) and Scott Phillips (drums).

On Oct. 14 on Twitter, Slash wrote that Kennedy will rejoin Alter Bridge for their European tour, but will return to the studio to finish the album in December. Of the completed songs, Slash tweeted, "S—t is sounding so baddass! Plan on hearing something not too long from now." Last night, Slash tweeted, “Just back from the studio. Ruff mixes sound great. Played a few for Eddie Trunk. Said he dug it.”

Slash’s first solo album included guest vocals by Ozzy Osbourne, M. Shadows from Avenged Sevenfold, Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie and others.
