It’s a big weekend for the National Football League with the AFC and NFC Championship games set to take place to determine who will go to the Super Bowl, but if you’re not a fan of the sport, now there’s another good reason to tune in.

Slash has announced that he will be part of the NFL on Fox broadcast of the NFC Championship game between the New York Giants and the San Francisco 49ers today, with festivities kicking off at 6PM EST. Tune in early because the former Guns N' Roses shredder reportedly pre-taped a a rocking intro that fans won’t want to miss.

Slash shot his segment earlier this week at the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles, Calif., so it’s not a live spot, but will still bring a little something special to the game.

Slash didn’t weigh in on whether he’s team East Coast or team West Coast for the big NFC showdown, but what are your predictions for the games today?

In related news, it's been a good week for Slash, we reported yesterday that the horror movie that he's set to produce, titled 'Nothing to Fear,' has been picked up by production and home entertainment company Anchor Bay. Read all about it here.
