Slash may be at the top of his game when it comes to rock guitar, but even the top-hatted one himself has a special place of admiration for young shredder Zoe Thomson. The guitar great was recently shown a news report on the 10-year-old prodigy by another legendary player, Mountain's Leslie West, and has hopped on board the Internet sensation's fan club.

Thomson picked up the guitar when she was five and her family has been encouraging her and showing off her talents through YouTube videos ever since. The latest one to go up features Zoe performing Guns N' Roses' 'Sweet Child O' Mine.' It was posted on April 11 and is closing in on 200,000 YouTube views already. In the video, Thomson was 7 years old. Now 10, she's rocking out in the kid outfit the Mini-Band.

The guitar great is not Zoe's only celebrity rocker fan. In a news report (seen below), the members of Metallica were shown footage of Zoe and the Mini-Band performing their music. In the clip, Kirk Hammett says, "By the time you guys are our age, you're going to be incredibly great," while James Hetfield headbangs along to the footage of the Mini Band's performance. Bassist Robert Trujillo chimes in, "They're already incredibly great."
