How's this for a thrash matchup for the ages? Slayer's classic 'Reign in Blood' is squaring off against Anthrax's 'Among the Living,' pitting two of "The Big 4" against each other in Round 2 of 2013's March Metal Madness Mosh Pit Region.

Slayer had a fairly easy go of it in Round 1, as 'Reign in Blood' ousted Mastodon's 'Remission' with over 78 percent of the vote. But they'll have to work a little harder this time as these two albums are more musically aligned. 'Reign in Blood' is deserving of its "classic" status, spawning the anthemic 'Angel of Death' and one of the most explosive live songs of all-time, 'Raining Blood.' But does it deserve to advance in our challenge to name the top metal album ever?

Anthrax, meanwhile, had a much more difficult matchup in Round 1. 'Among the Living' lives to see another day after narrowly escaping the powerful 'Arise' album from Sepultura. They earned 58 percent of the total vote to advance to meet their thrashy brethren. With tracks like 'Indians,' 'I Am the Law' and 'Caught in a Mosh,' Anthrax's 'Among the Living' can hold its own against any top metal record, but do they have what it takes to advance against Slayer?

It's Slayer versus Anthrax, a true clash of the titans. Be sure to vote for your favorite in the poll below and let us know which disc deserves to advance in the fight to name the best metal album of all-time.

(This poll will end on Monday, March 25 at 11:59 PM EST. Fans are able to vote once per hour, so keep coming back to make sure your favorite album wins!)
