Welcome to December! It's time to get in the holiday spirit, and we've got something for you that should stir up memories of holidays past, as we're exclusively debuting Small Town Titans' new video for "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch."

One listen to Small Town Titans' version and you'll hear that Phil Freeman's deep baritone and delivery is a perfect fit to capture the spirit of the original. Freeman, who also plays bass for the band, teams with drummer Jonny Ross and guitarist Ben Guiles to put their own fresh take on the track, giving it a bluesy feel with a definite darker vibe. Take a listen as the guys cover it in the studio in the video above.

Drummer Jonny Ross tells us, "We wanted to do something different for the holiday season this year, so we decided to revisit 'You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch,' a tune we had covered for holiday shows in the past. Other than the Misfits, we really haven't heard a rock band of any kind cover this song. We rearranged our take on it together and created a dark, bluesy, sinister version, and we are very proud of the result, captured live in the studio."

Small Town Titans spent some time at Hybrid Studios with Kevin Soffera earlier this year, recording six brand new songs live in the studio, which they've decided to release through late 2017 and into 2018, so be on the lookout for tracks like "Me, Myself and Monster," "Wreck" "Dragonfly" and more from the band.

At present, only a New Year's Eve show at Blarney's in Mechanicsburg, Pa. remains on their touring schedule, but you can keep up with all things Small Town Titans via their website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and Patreon accounts.
