Stone Sour’s Corey Taylor Offers Track-by-Track Perspective on ‘House of Gold & Bones, Part 2′
Stone Sour have given us part of the story with 'House of Gold & Bones Part 1,' and soon we'll be able to finish the story with the 'House of Gold & Bones Part 2' disc. Giving fans an idea of what's to come, frontman Corey Taylor has offered a track-by-track commentary on the upcoming disc.
Taylor shot a video feature with Music Feeds in which he breaks down each track and gives some insight into where the story takes us after what was laid out in 'House of Gold & Bones, Part 1." The vocalist explains that as 'Part 2' begins, the protagonist, 'The Human,' finds himself in the clutches of the numbers and Black John, seeking to find the answers of what's going on in his world.
He adds that the lead off song, 'Red City,' sets the tone musically for the rest of the album. He explained, "Part 2 is very rich, very orchestral and it's very complex. Musically, it's probably the most diverse music that we've ever done." He also added that this disc plays out as much more of a soundtrack for the story than the first release, which was just a great hard rock album.
'House of Gold & Bones, Part 2' arrives in stores April 9, but fans can already pre-order the disc via iTunes. To see Taylor discuss each of the album's songs, watch below (each commentary follows the next):
