Suicide Silence have revealed that guitarist Mark Heylmun has returned to the band after taking some time off in 2018. The musician's return also comes as the band has been working on some new music, which fans may get a taste of later this year.

In a new social media posting, the group revealed, "Our brother Mark Heylmun is back in action & fully involved with all things Suicide Silence, including touring. Also, we’ll be debuting brand new music live in the Latin America this November!"

Heylmun was conspicuously absent from the band's summer 2018 touring, and the guitarist eventually revealed he was taking a "radical sabbatical" from the group. The guitarist stated at the time that a family member's health concern had made him aware of his own mortality and that he needed "a break to spend time with my family and give my mind and body the attention it deserves."

The guitarist assured fans that he was not in a "bad way" or a "depressed state," but just wanted to follow his heart and that he would return when the time was right. Mike "Lonestar" Carrigan filled in during his absence, but Heylmun now appears ready to reclaim his spot with the band. As stated, Suicide Silence does have a Latin American tour expected later this year. Stay tuned here for dates and ticketing info.
