'I hope they recover as soon as possible,' said the rocker.

'I will continue to engage in charity activities as long as I am working as an artist,' Yoshiki said.

X Japan leader Yoshiki is paying it forward after U.S. fans were so generous to Japan relief efforts after a 2011 tsunami.

According to a statement from management, X Japan's drummer Yoshiki's cervical artificial disc replacement surgery was deemed successful.
