The Word Alive are ready to share their latest piece of Dark Matter. As the band closes in on the release date of their new studio album, they've teamed up with Loudwire to bring you the exclusive premiere of the new song "Made This Way" off the disc.

As you can hear, the song starts off with a heavy, electronically distorted low end thumping through your speakers before clearing the way for more melodic verses. Frontman Telle Smith then ramps up the intensity with a crushing chorus, belting, "I wear these scars / You can't take that away." The song also features some nimble mid-song guitar work as the riffing comes at a quick pace along the fretboard. Meanwhile, there's some visuals to the new "Made This Way" player as well, as the song title and band name open on a black backdrop that continually pulls back as the track continues to reveal the wording on a planet floating through the universe and fading toward obscurity.

"Made This Way" follows on the heels of the new songs "Trapped" and "Sellout," the latter of which now has a music video that you can see here. All three tracks are featured on The Word Alive's Dark Matter album. The disc, which drops March 18, is currently available for pre-order at Amazon and iTunes.

Meanwhile, you can still catch The Word Alive on tour in the States. The band wraps up their current run later this month, then takes a breather before heading to Europe in May. See all of their dates here.
