It's not often that a band launches themselves into superstardom by releasing a cover song. In March 2001, Alien Ant Farm released the album 'Anthology,' which featured a brilliant cover of Michael Jackson's 'Smooth Criminal.'

Alien Ant Farm never intended to release the cover as a single, but after overwhelming positive feedback from radio play, AAF used 'Smooth Criminal' for their first music video. The band's re-imagining of the song launched 'Anthology' to sell over a million copies in the U.S., making Alien Ant Farm a household name in the process. Shamone!
