The late Chris Cornell is shown reaffirming his vow to fight for refugee children from war-torn countries in a brand new public service announcement that features the Grammy-nominated title track to The Promise, a film about the early 1900's Armenian Genocide starring Christian Bale and Oscar Isaac, which came out last spring.

"I vow to keep the promise to fight for the world's most vulnerable children," the Soundgarden and Audioslave singer says in the clip which can be viewed above. All of the proceeds for the song were donated to refugee aid organizations. Late 2017 also saw the track get a posthumous theatrical video featuring Cornell.

Cornell's children Toni and Christopher also appear in the video, as do a bevy of celebrities including Bale, Isaac, George Clooney, Josh Brolin, Jennifer Lopez and Tom Hanks. Musicians who also pledge to take part in the fight are Elton John, Snoop Dogg, System of a Down's Serj Tankian - who worked on music for the film with Cornell - Ozzy Osbourne, Cornell's Audioslave bandmate Tom Morello and fellow Soundgarden member Matt Cameron. Many of the aforementioned appeared in a previous PSA which came out shortly after Cornell's untimely passing last year.

"'The Promise' to me is mainly about paying homage to those we lost in the Armenian Genocide, but it's also about shining a light on more recent atrocities," Cornell said at the time of the song's release. "The same methods used in the Armenian genocide were used to carry out crimes against humanity in Bosnia, Darfur, Rwanda and right now in Syria on multiple fronts, contributing to a massive global refugee crisis. Unfortunately, the words 'never again' seem like just words when we recall these mass executions of the twentieth century, as well as renewed racism and prejudice around the world."

Cornell's memory is also being kept alive via the Chris and Vicky Cornell Foundation, and through his involvement in Refugee Rescue, Human Rights Watch and Doctors Without Borders.
