May 19 can't get here soon enough for DragonForce fans! And to further build the anticipation, the band has release another new song from their upcoming album. Take a listen to "Curse of Darkness" in the player provided above.

The song begins with some guitar work that immediately pulls in the listener with its driving yet hypnotic sounds. By the time the chorus kicks in, the drumming is pushing the tempo even faster with Marc Hudson admirably keeping up with powerful vocals.

"I think we have proven that playing fast was something we were good at, so this time I wanted to bring even more diversity into our music," bassist Frederic Leclercq states. "It's great to challenge ourselves instead of staying in a comfort zone, and I really wanted to experiment with Marc's vocals. I think people are going to be surprised at his brutality!"

"Curse of Darkness" comes on the heels of the current single "Judgement Day." Both songs can be heard on the forthcoming Reaching Into Infinity album, which will be released on May 19 through Metal Blade Records.

The new album will be available in a variety of packages, including a special CD/DVD collection that features two bonus tracks and a six-song DVD set taken from a concert performance at the Woodstock Festival in Poland last year. There are also vinyl bundles and packages where you can add on specific items. To see the options and get your pre-orders in, head here.

You can look for DragonForce on tour in support of the disc. Their North American trek begins July 7 in San Francisco. See all of their scheduled dates here.
