Eric ‘Erock’ Calderone Covers ‘Nightmare Theme’ From Avenged Sevenfold’s ‘Deathbat’ Video Game

If you haven't entered our Avenged Sevenfold 'Hail to the King: Deathbat' contest yet, this may give you some inspiration. Although this video isn't an official entry for the contest, it's all kinds of awesome thanks to guitar hero Eric 'Erock' Calderone.

Though Erock rose to fame through his own YouTube channel, the master shredder has been concocting new 'Meets Metal' videos exclusively for our buddies at Arcade Sushi.

In our 'Deathbat' contest, fans are challenged to pick one of three themes from the video game. Erock chose 'Nightmare Theme,' his version of which can be seen above.

Once again, Erock's track is NOT an entrant in our contest.

Now it's your turn to deliver your version of one of three Avenged Sevenfold 'Deathbat' themes. We'll be accepting entrants posted on YouTube or Soundcloud until Oct. 17 at 11:59 PM. The winning musician will get an iPad Air 16GB Wi-Fi only, pre-loaded with the ‘Hail to the King: Deathbat’ video game and the entire digital Avenged Sevenfold catalog of releases; one Schecter guitar signed by the entire band; and a $100 iTunes or Google Play gift certificate (winner’s choice). Five runner ups will also receive signed Schecter guitar and a merch pack. An additional 10 prizes of the 'Hail to the King: Deathbat' video game and t-shirt will also be given away via random drawing.
