A happy 48th birthday wish goes out today to Courtney Love. And while the singer has often been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons, she has created some great music over the years.

She first started garnering attention in 1991 while playing with Hole for the album 'Pretty on the Inside,' which was the disc that got music tastemakers buzzing. Plus, it didn't hurt that she was dating future husband Kurt Cobain, whose band Nirvana was taking over the music scene that year.

While arguably undeserved, there was talk of Hole riding Nirvana's coattails. But Courtney and Hole showed they could stand on their own with 1994's 'Live Through This.' The disc spawned the group's first charting singles with 'Miss World,' 'Doll Parts,' 'Asking for It,' and 'Violet,' with Courtney emerging from Cobain's shadow.

After the angsty breakout release, Hole went in a more singer-songwriter direction with 1998's 'Celebrity Skin,' which spawned the title track, 'Malibu' and 'Awful.'

Unfortunately years of addiction and legal issues wiped out a good part of the next decade, until Courtney reclaimed the Hole name for the 2010 release 'Nobody's Daughter.' Creatively, it marked a return to prominence with the aggressive 'Skinny Little Bitch' and the melodic 'Pacific Coast Highway.'

So today, as we wish Courtney Love a happy 48th birthday, we want to know which Hole song is your favorite. Check out the poll below and cast your vote.
