Happy birthday to Creed / Alter Bridge guitarist Mark Tremonti, who turns 38 today (April 18). After selling millions of albums with his two bands, he is looking for further success with his first solo disc set to be released later this year.

Tremonti, singer Scott Stapp, bassist Brian Marshall and drummer Scott Phillips are currently celebrating the 15th anniversary of Creed's seminal debut album, ‘My Own Prison,’ with a cross-country tour this spring — in which they’ll play the ‘My Own Prison’ and ‘Human Clay’ albums in their entirety on different nights of the tour. The trek set off on April 13 in Chicago, Ill., with fanatic audiences witnessing first-hand how Creed shreds.

In addition to working on a new Creed album, Tremonti is also eyeing a fourth Alter Bridge disc, as he revealed to us in a recent interview.
