As Five Finger Death Punch fans anxiously await the Oct. 11 release date of the band's new album, ‘American Capitalist,’ and are voraciously feasting on the first single ‘Under and Over It,’ 5FDP recently debuted another new tune on the soundtrack to the just-released 'Madden NFL 12' video game.

We recently talked to guitarist Jason Hook about the band's involvement with the soundtrack, which also features songs from Foo Fighters, Korn and the Beastie Boys. "To be asked to be included is a huge deal; we had to make it happen, no matter what," says Hook. "The song was not originally tailored for the game but I think it worked out that way knowing that we were trying to prepare it for it."

Considering the last Madden soundtrack sold more than 13 million copies, gaming soundtracks are a huge opportunity for bands to tap into a whole new listener base and Hook and 5FDP couldn't be happier to be a part of it, telling Loudwire that 'it’s such a thrill.'

He adds, "Even though ‘Under And Over It’ is the first single released to radio, I believe ‘Back for More’ is going to be circulating on iTunes very soon as a result of being on the soundtrack ... It’s almost like having two singles. I think it’s a cool bonus for us."

In related news, ESPN has been playing ‘Under and Over It’ on its 'College Football Training Days' show, so fans of the fist, keep your ears pierced!
