Citizens around the U.S. are looking back on the horrifying terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon that destroyed the Twin Towers exactly 10 years ago on September 11, taking the lives of 3,000 innocent people.

The members of Five Finger Death Punch remember that day vividly. In the Artisan News video below, guitarist Zoltan Bathory and drummer Jeremy Spencer speak about how the event affected their lives and caused Bathory to go into survivalist mode.

“Everybody remembers where they were,” Bathory said. “You remember where you were in that moment when that happened… What I remember is a survivalist mentality. I was the only person in my jeep -- I had a jeep at the time -- driving to some outlet … and I bought, like, $2,500 worth of survivor gear… [Laughs] That’s what I was doing.”

The Los Angeles-based heavy metal band recently put out a dubstep remix of their current, chart-topping rock track, ‘Under and Over It,’ and the band’s hardcore fanbase wasn’t impressed.
