Ghost's career took a gigantic leap in 2015, as the band released the acclaimed Meliora album and acquired legions of new followers. In the 5th Annual Loudwire Music Awards, Ghost took home two awards: Best Metal Album of 2015 and Best Bassist of 2015.

Meliora gave Ghost their most commercially successful song to date, "Cirice." Despite Ghost's Satanic concept, "Cirice" has made big waves on Mainstream Rock radio and the group even performed "Cirice" live on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Meliora may be Ghost's tightest conceptual effort to date, and loyal followers voted it the best of 2015 over albums like Iron Maiden's The Book of Souls and Lamb of God's VII: Sturm und Drang.

One of Ghost's nameless ghouls was also voted Best Bassist of 2015 in a tight race with Iron Maiden legend Steve Harris. The ghoul reigned in 22.7 percent of the vote, while Harris collected 21.36 percent.

Hail Ghost and congratulations for their two victories in the 5th Annual Loudwire Music Awards.
