Godsmack, Staind + Halestorm 2012 U.S. Tour Confirmed

Back in December, we reported that Godsmack and Staind were gearing up to hit the road this spring, and now it’s been confirmed that Halestorm will join them on the trek, as well.

Godsmack are prepping a live album for release in 2012, while Staind will be out in support of their 2011 self-titled disc. Halestorm, meanwhile, are set to release a new studio album this spring.

On Godsmack's Facebook page today (Jan. 17), the band asked fans to help them name the tour:

“It's official. Godsmack Staind and Halestorm are all going out on tour this Spring and we're asking for you, the fans, to help to name the tour!  All you have to do is post your tour name suggestion in the comments section below. Thursday we will reveal the top 5 contenders from each band's pages and ask you to vote for your favorite. The winning tour name will be announced on Monday, 1/23.  We will also be announcing the official tour dates sometime next week is well, so be on the look out!”

As mentioned in the Facebook post, the tour dates won't be announced until next week and are being kept under lock and key. Even Halestorm guitarist Joe Hottinger is being kept in the dark, saying, “Apparently some people know some of the dates already. I am not one of those people, if you know where we are playing, let me know!”
