GWAR front-thing Oderus Urungus recently lashed out at the American mainstream media for largely ignoring the arrest of Lamb of God vocalist Randy Blythe on apparent manslaughter charges in Prague, Czech Republic. The always opinionated Urungus lashed out in a series of tweets, calling for further coverage to increase awareness of Blythe's unfortunate situation.

When Urungus isn't spending time on his home planet of Scumdogia or vacationing at Metal Metal Land, the GWAR leader spends most of his time in Richmond, Va. -- a hometown he shares with the members of Lamb of God.

"[I am] waiting anxiously to hear the fate of the human Randy," tweets Urungus. "He is a honorary slave who has died for GWAR many times. [I am] alarmed by the lack of outrage in the entertainment community. If this was a pop artist, the media would be all over this. That's right — I am f---ing appalled at the LACK of concern in the U.S. media for the fate of Randy Blythe."

Urungus continues, "Naw, just because Randy is in a nasty metal band, you can just throw his ass in jail anytime you want. The whole of music media should come the f--- out and condemn this arrest and detainment. This whole thing stinks of a shakedown. And for all you Blythe haters, eat a bowl of d--k. Randy is one of the coolest mofos on the planet. Don't be hating, that's my job. Where are the leaders of the American metal community voicing outrage about the idiotic arrest of one of our own… SHAME on you, rock star!"

Luckily for Randy Blythe, Internet mediums such as Twitter have become one of the world's largest sources for news an opinion, with many musicians coming to Blythe's defense through their personal accounts. The Lamb of God frontman is currently in Czech prison awaiting the decision of whether he can return home to Richmond or if he'll be forced to remain in Prague for his future legal proceedings.
