Worcester has become a haven for hard rock and metal over the years and this fall the Massachusetts city can brace itself for the Rock and Shock festival, taking place Oct. 16-18 at the Palladium and the DCU Center. A number of hard rock and metal acts will grace the stages of the two venues over the music weekend, including such top draws as Hatebreed, Danzig and Twiztid.

The Friday, Oct. 16 bill is led by Hatebreed, who will be performing a 20th Anniversary set list. They'll be joined by Soulfly, Sanctuary, Soilwork, Decapitated, Shattered Sun, Brick By Brick and many more.

The Saturday, Oct. 17 lineup finds Danzig in the headlining spot, with support from Superjoint, Veil of Maya, Prong, Witch Mountain, The Rocking Dead, Crumbsuckers, Doyle, New Years Day, Get Scared, Eyes Set to Kill, The Relapse Symphony, Darksiderz, Wednesday 13 and Byzantine.

Finishing out the Rock and Shock weekend will be Twiztid hosting the official Fright Fest After Party with Blaze, Boondox, Prozak, Wolfpac, Scum, Kissing Candace and more playing on Sunday, Oct. 18.

In addition, those attending will also see a number of horror film and TV show luminaries including actors William Sanderson, Bill Moseley, Doug Bradley, Rachel True, John Kassir, Traci Lords, director George Romero and more.
