Jason Newsted is parting ways with one of his estates in Walnut Creek, California. According to Realtor.com, the former Metallica bassist has listed his Bay Area farmhouse for $2.89 million.

The five-bedroom mansion has hardwood floors, designer fixtures and custom moldings, while featuring floral motifs throughout the interior spaces.

In the kitchen, you'll find bright Moroccan tile and high-end Elise appliances. The kitchen opens out to a casual dining nook that overlooks the patio. There's also a living room, formal dining room and family room amongst the 6,720-square foot property.

The upstairs comes with a master suite that has a balcony, fireplace and an updated bathroom, while there's a third floor that comes with a bonus room. The property also comes with a finished basement as well.

The estate, built in 1986, has a patio, a wraparound porch, a spacious lawn and a dog run. Newsted also has a studio that sits above the three-car garage. You can check out more of the estate in the video package from the 680 Doug Buenz Group below.

Newsted resurfaced in the early part of this decade with his self-titled band. He's been largely out of the music spotlight in recent years, though he has worked with a few projects since.
