There's nothing like seeing a fresh generation of metalheads waiting to digest the classics for themselves, continuing the legacy of so many great acts. Kids like the one in this video, not only give us hope for metal's longevity, but are downright inspiring!

Managing to navigate a full-sized guitar rather than a miniature children's version, this little on begins to fret the opening moments of Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters," giggling to himself at first. After getting comfortable with the acoustic guitar in his lap, he begins to sing over the verse with confidence and soulful passion!

Just after the two minute mark, the video reaches a surprising climax as the young boy wails, reaching into his upper register, nailing it all before coming to a simmer shortly after, returning to the gentle refrain before firing it back up again.

The video has been out for almost one year, amassing over three million views, but to us, it never gets old!

Here's to hoping he already has Metallica tickets as they make stops around the globe on their 'WorldWired' tour in support of last year's Hardwired... To Self-Destruct, which made our 20 Best Metal Albums of 2016. They'll hit North America with Avenged Sevenfold, Volbeat and Gojira on select dates and a list of dates can be found at our 2017 Guide to Rock + Metal Tours.
